Automotive Quality Monitoring

Quality monitoring at the insertion of valves in rims by a robot:
The insertion of air valves in wheel rims is a process, whose quality has to controlled very accurate. With a thorn drags the handling robot the valve in an assigned drilling. Tests have shown, that the control of the force gradient, particularly with the snap into of the notch in the valve (decrease of the force for a defined value and a following force rising), gives the most reliable feedback on the assembly quality. Flight Test

A new entrant in the field of VLJ (Very Light Jets) and an established market leader in the design and manufacture of business jets have very similar requirements. Both needed to build a data logger into their aircraft that will monitor a wide variety of systems within the vehicles. The application requires a compact, rugged, 24 VDC powered logger that not only monitors the analog and digital inputs normally associated with data logging. The logger also must monitor and log information from the ARINC-429 avionics bus, RS-232 devices and provide a GPS receiver to log position and velocity data. The logger also needs to be easily configured with different I/O configurations as each different model of aircraft has unique I/O requirements.

The difficulty of the seal determination is the very high sensibility regarding temperature changing. So the pressure will change by 1 bar at a temperature difference of 0,1 K only. For that reason a very precise and high-resolution pressure measurement is necessary. So the module e.bloxx A1 will be used. Due to the short time of measurement, the low dynamic and the constant environmental conditions it is possible to measure with a resolution of 21 bit. For the system accuracy that means, leakages of 0,04 l / h per m2 section volume will be detected safely.
