Landesgewerbeanstalt Bayern Security in the sign of the Nuremberg Wall - The Nuremberg city wall is getting a bit long in the tooth and loses more and more stability.
Motivation: Among other things that is due to the fact that the building constructed in the 14th century for the most part consists of sandstone. To add to stresses and strains, e.g. vibrations of heavy load and tramway traffic - nobody thought about that in the 14th century. So it happens that suddenly off-sets of several cm can be found. In some places have been prominent cracks noticed. | | |
