DC-SE - Description

The DC-SE Series represents a line of general-purpose DC LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers) designed for versatile displacement measurement across a variety of industries. Operating with a single-ended DC power supply, these sensors provide a linear and low-noise output signal, either 0 to +5VDC or +1 to +6VDC, making them an excellent choice for integration into analog-to-digital converters, PLCs, and data collection systems.

With internal regulation, the DC-SE Series ensures stable performance even from unregulated power sources ranging from 8.5 to 28VDC, while consuming a low current of just 6mA. This feature, combined with its high-temperature performance and noise rejection capabilities, makes the sensor suitable for remote or battery-powered applications, even in challenging industrial settings.

The sensors come equipped with EMI/ESD protection and double magnetic shielding, safeguarding against environmental and electronic interferences. The robust construction, including vacuum-impregnated windings and a two-component epoxy potted coil assembly, provides excellent protection against humidity, vibration, and shock.

Offering stroke ranges from 0.1 to 6 inches, the DC-SE Series can be tailored with various options such as metric threaded core, guided core, and a captive core option for simplified installation. The captive core design features self-aligning Bronze bearings and low-friction PTFE sleeve travel, ensuring ease of use and maintenance.
