MACRO GHSE 750, Industrial Gauge Head PC LVDT

The GHS 750 Series by Macro Sensors presents spring-loaded Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs), designed for accurate position measurement and dimensional gaging. Constructed from durable stainless steel and hermetically sealed, these sensors are engineered for reliability in diverse environments. With a 3/4 inch diameter, they offer measurement ranges from 0.100 inch to 4.00 inches and feature a maximum linearity error of ±0.10% of the full range output.

These LVDTs are integrated with electronics for direct DC operation or 4-20 mA current loop applications. The core mechanism includes a spring-loaded shaft in a precision sleeve bearing, attached to the LVDT core for accurate readings. The shaft's spring applies a force of 6 to 20 ounces based on the range, and it comes with an AGD standard number 9 tool steel contact tip for compatibility with other AGD tips.

Mounting is facilitated by a 1/2-20 UNF 2A threaded housing and two hex nuts. An optional air-extend/spring-retract feature allows for automated gaging and repeated position measurements, utilizing a low-pressure air supply to extend the shaft and an internal spring for retraction. This compact, robust design, coupled with versatile mounting and operational features, makes the GHS 750 Series ideal for a broad spectrum of industrial measurement tasks.
