MC3246, Landing Gear Sensor

- Designed for measurement of aircraft landing gear tire impact forces
- Measure forces during drop testing of landing gear mechanisms
- Low mass top plate; provides high vertical and horizontal natural frequencies
The MC3246 is specifically designed for measurement of aircraft landing gear tire impact forces. The sensor, along with the smaller MC3232, is commonly used to provide measurement of the Fx, Fy, and Fz forces during drop testing of landing gear mechanisms. The top plate of the sensor is of relatively low mass which provides high vertical and horizontal natural frequencies. This is important for accurate quantitative high speed impact measurements. (Contact pressure on the top plate should be 500 psi or less.) The body of the load cell is manufactured from high-strength aluminum with mounting provisions on the top and bottom surfaces.
