The LT-TC thermocouple transmitter is a precise and versatile solution for temperature measurement using thermocouples. It supports a wide range of thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, N, R, S), ensuring compatibility with various industrial applications. The temperature range can be adjusted to match the entire span of the thermocouple or narrowed down to as little as 15.0° for detailed monitoring.
Each thermocouple range is digitally calibrated at the factory and stored in the transmitter’s memory, allowing for easy field replacements without recalibration. The unit includes cold junction compensation (CJC) to ensure stable readings by accounting for variations in ambient temperature.
With fast update rates (up to 60 per second), the LT-TC is ideal for real-time monitoring and control. Its dual solid-state relays enhance functionality, allowing it to serve as an ON/OFF temperature controller or as a supervisory monitor for alarm triggers and process shutoffs.
Operation as a Controller or Supervisory Monitor
The LT-TC can function as a high-speed ON/OFF temperature controller with its dual relay outputs. With a typical response time of 17 ms, it can manage closed-loop temperature control in demanding applications. Each relay can be configured with programmable hysteresis and time delays to minimize chatter and ensure stable operation. The unit can also monitor processes and trigger alarms or shutdowns if temperature readings exceed preset limits.
Available operating modes for the relays include band deviation, where an alarm is activated if the temperature is above or below a specified range. This feature makes the LT-TC versatile for both control and safety monitoring in industrial systems.
