The Novotechnik TF1 Series is a high‑precision linear position sensor built for demanding industrial and automation applications where durability, accuracy, and reliability are vital. Using a patented inductive measurement principle, the TF1 offers touchless operation — meaning no physical contact between the sensing element and the moving marker, which translates to unlimited mechanical life, superior repeatability and freedom from wear.
With measuring ranges from 100 mm up to 1000 mm, the TF1 supports a wide variety of installation conditions and stroke lengths. It delivers exceptional performance: update rates above 10 kHz, reproducibility down to single‑digit micrometre levels (e.g., ≤10 µm for shorter ranges), and absolute linearity better than ±0.025 % of full scale for many analog variants. The sensor’s robust design features IP67 protection, strong resistance to magnetic fields, vibration and shock, and temperature compensation for accurate performance in challenging environments.
The TF1 is flexible in outputs: select analog voltage or current, or digital interfaces such as SSI, IO‑Link or CANopen, making it straightforward to integrate into machine controls, robotics, packaging, plastic injection systems, press lines, and manufacturing automation.
